PBA was selected to replace the roofing systems at 3 schools for Brevard Public Schools, Melbourne, Florida. The project began with an analysis of the roofing systems on each of the schools and recommendations for replacement, repair, or maintenance of each roof area. The schools are Roosevelt Elementary School, Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High Schools and Titusville High School. The Project included an aerial infrared survey of all buildings in the scope of work to locate areas of potential moisture within the roofing system. The complete project cost for all 3 schools is approximately $12,000,000. The project includes modified asphalt roofing replacements, metal roofing replacements, numerous skylights, and the relocation of a considerable amount of roof top AC equipment and chiller piping. PBA is teaming up with two well-known local firms, TLC Engineering Solutions and Architects RZK, Inc. for the projects. Gary Krueger, PE and his team will provide structural and MEP engineering and John Zwick and his team will provide architectural and design support. The PBA team will be working with two seasoned Brevard Public Schools project managers, David Martin and Chris Gerber who bring a wealth of knowledge in construction to the team and knowledge of each of these sites.
